there will be light rain today in seattle, but that will be about it. the really nasty stuff is gone. i mean, these temperatures are just ridiculous. for this time of morning, it is 64 in kansas city. that's usually like a morning low in july. i mean, it's just so warm. and because it's so warm, and it's also very moist, there's a lot of foggy problems out there this morning. areas of dense fog, the great lakes, through mississippi and alabama, especially down along the coast, all coastal areas here from south carolina up to wilmington and even san antonio. some of the worst fog is definitely in the lower portion of the great lakes. visibilities are extremely poor from milwaukee to chicago to cleveland. visibility a quarter mile or less now. expect major airport delays around chicago o'hare and also cleveland early today. just enjoy this warm weather. it will last probably about two or three more days. but even then, veronica, it doesn't look like a big real cold snap, just maybe returning back to normal. >> i'm liking it. >> yes. you like it. the ski r

raining in parts of seattle down to portland. this is light rain at best. it gets worse than this. and it's going to be one mess for just the next day after day after day as we get one storm after another. here's the story now for today. this morning, it was dry. tonight, still dry. tomorrow morning, done. raining by 9:00 in the morning. northern california, rains all day and into wednesday. dries out on friday. let me zoom it out for you. we have a storm for tuesday. we have a storm for thursday. and another one back here for next saturday. that's four storms in ten days in a place that's already flooding. wolf? >> so what i hear you saying is that folks in northern california's wine country, they are by no means out of the woods? >> well, this would be a whole lot worse. had this backed up -- let's say this was august or september and this storm system came through, 2012 would have been wrecked. there would no wine at all. the grapes would have been popping, way too much rain late in the season makes wine thin, very watery. at least it came when the grapes and vines are for now.

fortunately we have relatively quiet weather through parts of california and portions of seattle. showers across the portions of the pacific northwest. as we head into tomorrow and wednesday we have a new storm system that will be arriving producing a lot of heavy rain, three to six inches. the ground is saturated from the last series of storm systems. this could pose big issues across the areas already hit very hard with all this rain. look at the future radar as we head into tuesday and wednesday more rain. basically the northern parts of the rockies we have snowfall. we'll see snowfall across portions of the west coast but even into the northern rockies. dealing with more moisture across portions of west coast even though we dealt with a number of storm systems. jon, very quickly another big story how incredibly warm it has been across the center of the country. 70 degrees for high temperatures in kansas city and 80 in the city of dallas. jon: wow. >> possibly record-setting temperatures. jon: december surprise. maria molina thank you. >> thanks. jenna: you might expect this ne
